Death matters β there are real consequences.
Each PC can only be resurrected twice. The third death is permanent (no coming back).
Players should prepare a backup character only after their main character dies once.
After a TPK (total party kill), time passes, the world moves on, and new characters step in.
Resurrection is rare and important.
Some areas or faiths may forbid resurrection.
To bring someone back, you need:
The right spell (Revivify, Raise Dead, Resurrection, etc.)
Material components (usually diamonds or rare items)
A willing, capable caster
Resurrection may have story consequences or special requirements (e.g., unicorn blood).
Usually done by high-level casters or divine agents.
If a single hit deals damage equal to or greater than your maximum HP, itβs instant death.
Example: If your max HP is 40 and you get hit for 45, you die instantly.
If you drop to 0 HP but later regain hit points, you gain 1 level of exhaustion
Party takes shifts to keep watch during long rests.
Watch rolls: roll d20, below 10 means ambush or attack while sleeping.
No strict limit on short rests between long rests.
Long rests in dangerous areas carry risk due to watch rolls.
